We are a family of 6 and this property was just what we needed and wanted. Tucked away from the noise and traffic but only one or two miles away from the beach, tourist spots, very close to incredible hikes at Makiki trails (stunning views), and we couldn't be happier with the choice we made. The host was superb and made himself available if we needed anything, the property had everything needed to be home away from home: fresh towels, linens, blankets, extra pillows, shampoo, conditioner, body soap and hair drier. Cable TV, great wifi connection, parking and just a great property overall. The kitchen - there are 2 kitchens, one upstairs and one downstairs - had all the utensils and pans needed for our awesome daily breakfast, wine glasses for our evening ritual of watching the city lights and enjoying some great wine and even coffee was provided. The house is very clean, very comfortable and breezy, no a/c was needed but we had ceiling fans which we never even used. It has beautiful ocean, city and Diamond Head views from the upstairs lanai where we spent most of our time when not exploring the gorgeous Oahu Island. The bedroom downstairs has a beautiful lanai all screened off and protected with trees and surrounded by tropical plants, bbq grill, and even a hammock where my husband spent most of his time in the evenings resting and reading his favorite newspapers. I would highly recommend this 3 bedroom home and we would definitely going to stay here again when we visit our daughter next year at University of Hawaii. Thanks Jose for a memorable time.Barbara T.
We were the first guests who rented this property and it was simply a great experience both for my family of 5 and for the owner who allowed us to stay at his beautiful and incredible property. The atmosphere was very Zen like and tranquil, private, clean, comfortable and kind of like at home, really. The unit has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 lanais, a living room and 2 kitchens. One of the bedrooms is downstairs with a separate entrance and separate kitchen which was great for my sister and her husband because they had plenty of privacy and space as a new couple. Every night we all gathered on the upstairs lanai to enjoy the city views at night which is just breath taking. There's one big lanai downstairs too which is completely enclosed with screens and surrounded by tropical plants, a beautiful hammock and just very nice. Parking was a plentiful and easy, wifi, washer and drier, cable tv and fresh linens, towels, and everything we needed and expected plus more. The location is the best part of this property, it is only a few hundred feet up on the hillside of Makiki Heights and although away from the busy areas, it was very close to supermarkets, shopping centers, beach and all the conveniences one might need. The 3 Queen size beds were awesome and we all slept well, rested, gathered as a family often and nobody wanted to leave...we would come back again and would definetely recommend it. Oahu is great by the way, and thanks Jose for all the great tips and the delicious coffee :-).Anonymous
