We were in Oahu for a friend's wedding and my husband and I decided to extend our stay for another week. We found this property on Homeaway.com and when we spoked with the owner (Mr. Jube had great tips for us), he told us that the studio was brand new and we were the first people to stay in it. What a great choice we've made: The property is gorgeous and private yet centrally located in the hillside with a bbq area right outside the lanai which made our meals easy and pleasant. Parking and wifi were easy and efficient, there were fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner, a comfortable Queen size bed with beautiful sheets and covers, a flat screen TV with cable, (not that we watched TV in Hawaii), dressers and plenty of space for all of our needs. The kitchen is fully equipped and had everything we needed like coffee maker, rice cooker, a panini grill, toaster, blender, and all utensils and kitchenware necessary to make you feel at home. The bathroom and shower are spacious and comfortable (pics do not do any justice to this place). The studio double french doors (we never closed the doors, soooooo nice) opens up to a large screened off lanai which is breezy and just simply awesome. The teak dining table for two is on the lanai and we took full advantage of the grill and had our meals, our daily glass of wine, coffee and naps right outside overlooking and enjoying the birds singing orchestra (we woke up to the sounds of birds everyday, refreshing for sure). My husband took full advantage of the beautiful hammock on the lanai and I even sneaked into the main house backyard to look at the gorgeous Diamond Head, ocean and city light views and even caught a beautiful traditional Friday night fireworks which topped it all off. This was one of the best travel experiences we've had and would definitely return here. The studio is well located in this huge property is literately 5 minutes away from everything like the beach, parks, tourists attractions, supermarkets, freeway access and conveniences . We noticed some light noise above us once but nothing that annoyed us or disturbed our stay, we actually made friends with the guests upstairs and it made our trip even more pleasant . This was just an awesome place to spend a week in Oahu with great conveniences and a great value given the other choices we had. Definitely recommended and most definitely will stay here again.Barbara T.
Jose's peaceful new studio was lovely - quiet, private, clean, spacious. The space is behind the garage and is both tucked into the rock and surrounded by lush vines with natural lighting. The screened-in lanai (with comfy seating, table, and hammock), beautiful stone-tiled shower, wireless internet, nicely-appointed kitchen, and laundry access rounded out everything we needed for our week-plus stay. My husband and I were in town to attend a conference at the Hawaii Convention Center, which is a short (5-8 min) Lyft or bus ride away. We really appreciated the calm sanctuary of Jose's property after working long hours downtown. (We even walked home from downtown one nice night, but we weren't hauling baggage - it's a fairly steep climb.) The neighborhood is also quite nice for a run or walk up to the Spalding House (Honolulu's Contemorary Museum of Art). Jose is a thoughtful, knowledgeable, responsive host. Communication before and during the trip was very clear and easy. We would love to stay here again or try one of his other properties. Thank you for hosting us!Kathleen F. Kirkland WA
